Hole in floor of 2012 Buick LaCrosse

Asked by Daughterinlaw Oct 12, 2015 at 07:42 PM about the 2012 Buick LaCrosse Leather AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My mother-in-law bought a 2012 Buick LaCrosse.  She drove it in the rain, for about 180 miles, and floor was soaking wet in backseat area.  There is a hole - looks like manufacture mistake.  What can be done?  Dealer ripped out carpeting and there was about an inch of rain.  Had her take it home and dry it out.  She is 70 years old!  If it's a manufacturer defect - is GMC responsible?

What i know is that the floor on any car has holes which usually are plugged up with a rubber/plastic plug. They are there to drain the car in case the car ever gets flooded, so they are supposed to let water out not in.
