my 95 chrysler cirrus has a transmission whiinng noise what is the fix

I have the same car, but its a 96. My transmission has been going out for the last four years. Honestly probably needing a new transmission, but for the cost of that you might as well just get a new car. Mine whines, and transmission fluid has to be topped off often.
