Will a 2.5 L 2012 Altima (S) engine fit in a 2010 Sentra SR sedan?

Asked by nogurusallowed Sep 02, 2022 at 01:11 AM about the 2012 Nissan Altima 2.5 S

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it possible to swap a 2.5 L engine from 2012 Altima to a 2010 Sentra with
a blown 2.0 L
The 2010 Sentra SR has a blown 2.0 L and needs a new CVT transmission
and  I have a 2012 Altima S with a good engine and CVT; can the Altima 2.4
L and
CVT be swapped into the 2010 Sentra SR? Do the computers need
swapping
or reprogramming? Is any, or all of this possible?

It's usually best to go with what the vehicle was designed for , and even then you'll need a technical knowledge and cash . Plus you're replacing an blown engine with an old worn engine .
