rrust on altima 2012

I work in the body shop industry and mainly for dealerships.It is covered under warranty if the rust is perforated or if you fall under the 10 yr/ 100,000 mile warranty.by the age of the car I would say you do qualify for warranty as long as you have less than 100,000 miles and the rust spot if perforated.If you do have less than 100,000 but the spot is not perforated than you do not qualify for warranty.Only until the spot makes a actual hole and you have less than 100,000k you will qualify.I hope this helps.
