If my engine coolant is green and it's low
can you mix it with a red color coolant or
should you keep with the same color

The red color is extended life anti-freeze and they can be mixed but I don't advise it because the color may confuse the next person servicing it into thinking it's rust.

    The coolant resivoir was empty. I added coolant. Light still on.
