I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu LS, I am having issues with the car turning over, lights are on, but car will not crank, would the anti-theft system cause this issue?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu LS, I am having issues with the car turning over. I just
purchased the car a year ago. Friday 7/24/15 drove completely fine that morning to
work around 8:30 AM, when trying to leave work around 5 PM, car would not turn-over,
malfunction indicator lamp comes on (first time this has come on.) All the lights are on,
tried to have car jumped, battery died after second try, got the car towed, let sit all night.
Saturday 7/25/15, went to jump the car that afternoon, car cranks just fine. I then drove
the car to Auto Zone, they ran an engine diagnostic, no codes were found, car started
fine Saturday, and Sunday. Monday 7/27/15, car starts fine in the morning on the way
to work, trying to leave work that night, car does not crank, malfunction lamp comes
back on. I'm completely lost. Chevy is all booked, cannot look at my car until Monday!
Any ideas on what this could be?

This could be a tough question to ask while it could be multiple things, most commonly it can be the- Failed Passlock Sensor, Ignition Switch Failure or Fuel Pump, I would recommend taking it to a shop with better diagnosis tools to get the check engine light, something has to be saved in the computer and hopefully narrow down the problem. Hope this helps!!
