I have a 2012 Impala with 44,000 miles on it and am told the rack and pinion steering gear is leaking.
This car already has had a pair of tires replaced. I am told it needs a tie rod replaced and each wheel needs to be aligned independently by drilling out some holes on the strut assembly. This may have been a poor car choice if I'm looking at over $2,000 in repairs before I even hit 50,000 miles.
