So I recently bought a 2008 Impala from a small time dealer. It has 65000 plus miles on it and is under a 3000 mile 60 day warranty, I took it back to the dealer and asked him to look at it because I felt it was shifting bad, He said there was nothing wrong with it and unfortunately i didnt get any paper work. so i took it on my own and got it checked and it needs a new transmission, i went back and told the dealer and he wont pay for it unless i take it to where hewants to have it looked at

Take it to where he wants to have it looked at. If you have a written warranty take a close look at it. If you don't have it in writing you are screwed.

I am still within the sixty days but only have 500 miles left on the warranty. Transmission is covered. The thing is I dont trust this guy to have it "looked at" let alone get fixed because the place i took it to is a reputable repair shop and he wont even have it fixed there? When its my car, plus he already lied about saying there was nothing wrong the first time and thats when he should of had it professionaly checked. This guys a scum bag and im an idiot but i just think now i should return the car because he knows he sold me a lemon, but he will refuse to take it back. I just dont know legally if im within my rights to do so, ahouldnt i just be able to have it fixed wherever and he reimburses me?I bought it for 7500 a 2008 and I realize now why it was probably so cheap

It might be worth spending a hundred bucks and seek the advice of an attorney.

If I were you and he’s willing to take to his mechanic to fix it give him a chance to make it correct before you spend money on s attorney will always take case!!! If the car dealer willing to fix at his mechanic take him up on offer” he wants his shop to fix because he doesn’t want to pay -75 -100 per .hr when his shop works wholesale prices” nothing wrong withgiveing him a shot to fix or replace your transmission on his dime if he offered I’d say he’s trying to “rectify “fix this issue don’t slam the door before you have too “count to ten!!
