2012 Kia Sorento not using oil, engine seized

I have a 2012 Kia Sorento. At 101,000 miles, last June, we discovered not a drop of oil on the dipstick, in between scheduled oil changes. No warning light or anything. I started looking on-line and it seems there are thousands of us. I went to the dealership a month ago and they acted like they had no idea about this problem. They put a dye in my oil and told me to come back for them to check with a black light to see where it is going. I went back today. It was down 1/2 quart within the same tank of gas. They told me it was leaking around the oil cap and the valve cover. A $200 job to fix. This is B.S. as this car never leaks any oil on the driveway or garage floor. I am ready for a class action, but I can't find any. The gentlemen above said a pcv valve and heavier oil. Why wouldn't kia reommend this?

I have a 2012 sorento also. My engine blew at 60,000 miles and again at 120,000. There are several known recalls for the 2012. Kia replaced my engine both times free of charge. You should definitely look into it.

Who do you look into it with if the dealer won't acknowledge that this is a major problem with their engines?

I took to twitter and posted warnings until Kia America actually blocked me which I'm pretty sure is against my rights per the Supreme Court ruling. Anyway, I have found an online petition plus I began tagging the NHTSA on my tweets. They only recalled SOME of the engines but not all of then and people as far as the UK and Canada have all messaged me about their engine failures. They are ALL being told the exact same thing I was. I am on Facebook under Bobbie Renee where I found a group called Kia Engine Failures and on Twitter I am MamaB Hewitt. I make it a point daily to post at least one tweet about Kia's engine or a news article I found online. Spreading the word is the best we can do right now.
