2012 Kia Sorento engine recall

Asked by GuruXH8TB Oct 29, 2018 at 10:22 PM about the 2012 Kia Sorento EX AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2012 Kia engine failed at 89k after it had
passed the recall test.  Dealer replace the
engine it's took six weeks and I was given a
car rental for free. My question is I was under
the impression I was getting a brand new
engine but instead received remanufactured
one and they replaced the long block? Is that
what everyone had done not new but
remanufacrured and warranty now extended?
