Volvo XC60 Retracacting mirrors

My automatic mirrors fold when locking the car, or thru L/R mirror button pushes. Both mirrors assemblies open/unfold when unlocking the car or thru button push above. However, the drivers side opens to the extreme and is unusable for viewing. Its as if the neutral stop point is ignored or broken. Please advise, as the manuals sequence for neutral reset has no impact.

My wife's 2010 just started doing this today. Hopefully someone will have a solution.
