What are folk's experience with the Audi Extended Warranties offered on their A5?

Question type: Shopping & Pricing
I'm about to buy a 2012 formerly leased A5 and would like to know if it's worth it... or is it fluff? Or worse,
you go to redeem and you get stone-walled with trivial hangups.

your audi dealer can 'audi assure' your car which will extend your factory warntee ,basically.. well worth it
It depends on the cost of the warranty and the length of time you intend to hold on to the car. If you plan on keeping it awhile, an extended warranty provides safety from expensive future repairs. You also should ask yourself if you could easily afford to make an expensive repair in years to come should the situation arise; or are you on a tight budget where the warranty will provide financial peace of mind. I've only owned one car where the extended warranty paid off, buy it really did on that car. All the other cars never needed it even owning them for 10 + years. Ask yourself if you are financially able to pay a major repair or trade the car at a loss. That should help you make the decision.
