my van is idling very high as soon as I start the van... what is the problem and where should I check?fix etc.?

There sould be an idleing screw you would adjust and it you should be able to lower the idle on your van

Idle air control motor is problably all gummed up with carbon! Remove and clean all parts with choke cleaner.Disconnect battery for 20 secs or more to reset computer and it should be OK!

My car idling to high went stop at a light or shut off and back on 1999 dodge caravan ....help....
