nothing as in no cranking of the starter? did you smack the starter with a hammer or somthing to see if it was hung up?

Have you considered the battery? Could read 12 volts but not have the amperage to spin the starter. Option would be to take it into a place that has a load tester or.... if you have jumper cables, have someone jump you. If it starts, then it is the battery. Other thing, if you turn the key and just hear a click, it's the starter solenoid. Take a multimeter and place the positive probe on the positive terminal of the starter solenoid and the negative probe on a ground and have someone turn the ignition. If it reads 12 volts, it's the solenoid.

Replaced battery , checked fuses, pulled ignition key cylinder & inspected seemed ok, did reset with odometer button yet when I turn key nothing not even click at solenoid, only dash light that stays on is motor icon. I wondering if its the key or chip and if so what do I do to remedy. Knuckles

answer is ignition actuator pin, went through the exact same issue. Drove to work went to go start the car, can turn the igniton and lights come on radio all that stuff but can not even get the car to try and turn over. first thoughts was anti theft feature or chip went bad in key. Not that at all....... there is a pin in the ignition that has a lip on it, when the key is turned it will get to the spot to connect electrical to the car from the battery but the last bit of turn catches that lip and the starter fires up. without that lip you get everything but the starter. when you pull the ignition its about the size of a water bottle, you need to push the pressure clips in to release the mechanism and when you do the crap pieces in the actuator pin will fall out as you do and you will see its made of some cheap pot metal. if that happens when you pull it thats exactly what the issue was. go to auto zone and grab a replacement for about 50 bucks. good to go. if i can be of any more help repost on here and ill double check soon.
