Bad gas mileage, loss of power, wont start just clicks

Asked by Tina Feb 22, 2019 at 08:49 AM about the 2006 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Love my durango but lately I have been getting
worse gas mileage, it isn't as powerful as it used to
be. Somewhat recently every once in a while it
would be in reverse and it would feel like I'm in
neutral then I put into all wheel drive and stop at a
light on my corner and it would just stall. Usually
start back up and be fine. And for awhile now it has
had a hard time starting when I fire it up after it
hasn't been driven 8 or more hours. Iike it kinda
sticks while starting , I shut it off and it starts
perfectly on 2nd try everytime. The battery has
gone dead easier and more often then normal. And
now it wont start. It just clicks. The battery is fine.
Not sure if it's the ignition switch or something
else. Anyone else have any similar situations that
can help?

Battery connections or you have a bad battery, or your alternator isn't doing anything and you have something on in your car or your battery is just being shorted out

I had the same problem on my 2006 Durango. My mechanic just changed the throttle sensor, now all is good!
