2012 Chrysler Town & Country sliding door problem

Asked by KaylaB8 Dec 10, 2019 at 02:59 PM about the 2012 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The drivers side automatic sliding door will open
fine but when you hit the button to close it it starts
closing and gets to the end where it’s supposed to
latch fully and it won’t. It stays there, but isn’t
completely closed all the way. The door shuts fine
when you turn off the automatic and do it manually.
Something in the latch- or latch wiring must not be
working right?

Probably just needs to have the latch mechanism adjusted so it recognizes when the door is moved to the latch position. There is also a switch in there that may need replacement.

Sorry, I don't but if you look at the parts breakdown diagrams and descriptions provided by parts suppliers like RockAuto you should be able to find it. A Chrysler dealer can also provide a part number and quote a price over the phone.
