Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Chrysler town and country minivan with
code P0562 system voltage low. The tech at the
AutoZone told me my voltage regulator is bad and that it
is internal to the engine computer control. He is not able
to locate one for me. Does anyone know about this
problem and what the possible solution is?

voltag reg used ta be a separate item, a little black box, easily replaceable ... in the seventies they moved it onto a circuit in the alternator ... i have yet to hear that they moved that function into the computer... i think it is called the control module.. altho i can sorta see that as a logical thing... odd though that autozone cant find one , except that the aftermarket isnt as quick any more as it once was.. try the dealer ?
