2010 lacrosse trunk randomly opens. Why and what's the cure.

Thanks for the response and I'll try that. If that is the solution, then do I need a new fob or what so I do?

i know its a old post but just in case im answering this question. So its actually the trunk switch is getting moisture inside. what i do is i take off the switch. blow the water out and add a lil bit of silicon around the rubber. thats it snap it back in

I had the same issue. They said I must be hitting the trunk release button on accident. I didn't even have the key for with me when the trunk popped open. The dealer reprogrammed the switch so it would have to be hit twice to open. Hasn't happened since.
