Trunk opens randomly

I have the 2016 Lacrosse which I purchased new, and the trunk opens
randomly!  Once in the winter and I had to shovel out the snow.!  Then one
day, in the course of the day it opened three times!  I complained to the
dealer and also to GM but no remedy!  It was suggested that I was touching
the fob but I have tried to open the trunk from a distance with the fob and it
does not open unless I am within a few feet.
