What's the biggest baddest engine and
transmission I can put into a 2004 Ford Escape.

That's correct. That Duratec is about 200hp. I noticed the newer (2014) Ford Escapes have a 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder rated 240hp, in a lighter vehicle with a six speed tranny. Now that thing is fast!
