Will my lowering springs fail on my stock struts?

Asked by Jus Oct 22, 2018 at 10:03 PM about the 2003 Audi A6 3.0 Sedan FWD

Question type: Car Customization

I realize that everyone says putting lowering
springs on stock struts is a bad idea, however
when I read about the Elevate springs on the site it
had said that the stock struts are fine with the
lowering springs. Has anyone else done this? Did
your struts fail or are they fine? My Audi has
217,000 miles on it.

I would install new struts if the old ones have 217,000 miles on them. I do not know how low you are going but an inch or so would not be a problem.
