if my car needs oil will it make motor hot

no. but low coolant will...did you not notice the "oil" light and put a few quarts in?

if it has been run without oil (don't know how this could have happened...stray bullet to the oil pan?) it could lock up...more than likely the coolant level dropped...steam must have been pouring out~

oil light not comin on JUDGE ROY i put a coolant housing on it today i drove it around about an hour but now it wont stay crunk but my temp hand is normal but i checked and it needs oil

and steam was comin from around coolant jug but when i loosened coolant housing steam it stop steamin around coolant jug

What fails when hot?...the intake air temperature sensor...the ECU temperature sensor...those would shut down the show right proper if came up to temperature and unable to put the correct air/fuel mix in that~
