What motor options do I have for a drop in?

I have a 2012 chrysler 200 2.4l
4cyl with a 6 speed transmission.
I picked the car up cheap knowing
the motor needs replacing. What
other years can I use for a drop in,
what other cars can I get a motor
from and what would I have to
change to go with a 9 speed
transmission if possible?

Anything compatible will be a 10 year old motor with wear and tear on it . If you're serious get a crate motor or rebuild the one that's in it , and rebuild the tranny , and replace all the brake and fuel lines .. When you're done you'll have invested more than it's worth . You couldn't have picked a bigger P.O.S. to restore .
