Gap should be .032, although your vehicle takes platinum plugs, which are gapped by the manufacturer prior to their diststribution. Adjusting the gap on a platinum plug is NOT advised, as you may crack the platinum coating when doing so.

Great answer. Don't use cheap plugs that aren't already gapped. NGK Plat is the OEM for VW Jettas.
