Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi guys!! i need major help with my Acura RSX. I have a 2003 RSX and the transmission seems to
jump everytime it switches gears. it's an automatic and i know i have done some damage to the
transmission from drivng to AZ from CA every weekend. Anyways it has 125,000 miles and i took it to
the repair shop. They are telling me that it will cost $1650 for a rebuilt/replaced transmission with a
two year warranty. Also, they mentioned that there's a part which holds the transmission case called
motor something i cant remember and that will cost me $750. i dont know if im totally getting ripped
off here but someone please help me and advice me on where to go from there. Also my car is paid
off.
