Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Lower your window. Take off the interior door panel by using a pry tool to remove the trim pieces. Unplug the wiring harness if you have power-controlled mirrors.Take out the mirror bolts so that you can remove the entire mirror assembly from the car. Separate the actual mirror from the mirror assembly (torx screws) and then pry the plastic tabs on the backing until the two pieces separate. Attach the new mirror to the assembly by snapping it onto the backing with the tabs. Put the new mirror, attached to the backing, into the mirror assembly. Reverse the steps to reinstall the entire mirror assembly back on.
