Check to fan clutch as they are notorious for going bad and causing overheating.

Yes, just replaced fan clutch and water pump on my 2003 Dodge Durango 4.7L magnum today cause it was overheating anx i drive over 100 miles roundtrip to work 6days weekly. Abthony in Middletown Ct
