Question type: Maintenance & Repair
When I take the key out of the ignition the vehicle is still on. It does not do it all the time. The other day all of the indicators on the dash board came on. I need some help. Thank you.

sounds like a bad ignition switch. to find out the codes, type 2005 dodge engine trouble codes into your search bar, it will take you to a sight where you can type in the code and know what it is.
U0101 - Lost Communication With Transmission Control Module U1411 = Implausible fuel volume signal (whatever that means..?).. U1120 Dodge - Lost Wheel Distance Message Go to OBDcodes.com for more info, and the DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble codes) with the letters on the end, not found. BTW, mikepriestlake's answer is good, that will work, I only did it, what he suggested. Now, if you mean all the warning icons came on with key on and engine not running, that's normal. What it's supposed to do. What I don't understand is none of the codes will cause that, the engine continue to run. So back to switch it's self, just as mike said
http://www.obd-codes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=8311 have a look at that page. Lost communication with ECU, the computer does not 'know' you shut it off. Again, mike is bingo on, switch, wiring broken/shorted. All this adds up to your ECU aka PCM is either bad, switch again, or wire loom or harness. The computer does not know what the left hand and right hand are doing so to speak
