2012 VW Jetta Battery

Can I change battery for 2012 vw jetta 2.5 Se on
own or do I really need to goto a delear. I called a
oreally they said the car needs to be programmed
so take to a dealer.

first of all, I think it's AMAZING that a simple auto parts clerk would just be able to tell you that off of the top their head. This is a HUGE tip in understanding how the memory works. I just bought a jetta a couple of months ago from an import shop and they told me NOTHING about this.. probably because they want me to go back and spend more money on this and that and such. Secondly, I wouldn't buy a battery from O'Reilly, I'd get one from Deka battery company out of Pennsylvania. good luck
