Does your ignition key have the remote for the doors? If so replace the battery. That little red dot is your anti theft light. Ran across the same issue. Lady towed her magnum to shop. Went to replace battery in remote, guts to remote missing. Called the lady, she explained she was arguing with boy friend and took guts outta the remote. Which in return is part of the security for key to start car. Put remote back together with new battery, spectacularly the red dot off car started. Worse of the argument was over he used the car that night, and the next morning that little light was on and car wouldn't start she took the remote apart and couldn't figure out how to put back together.
