I have a 2005 dodge neon. I just replaced the spark plugs and thermostat. This is the first time I've ever done any work on a car except for an oil change.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car has been running with the
temp in the red, I thought changing
the therm would fix that but that only
worked for a day. I read about
something called burping my car on
hear. Should I try that for about 45
mins?  Any other suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.

to burp the system just leave the cap off while the engine is running so the air can escape the system. add coolant as necessary if the level drops. (do not drive the car while doing this) if burping the system doesnt solve your issue report back

do it long enough so that the engine reaches normal operating temperature
