I have a 2005 standard neon and for a few days have heard a helicopter-like noise that starts around 20 mph and increasingly gets louder with acceleration. There is a vibration felt in the steering wheel, but oddly did not worsen when turning or veering. Thought wheel joints, but just found out car is now grinding when i brake. I just got new ceramic brakes 2 monthes ago. Any idea if this is suspension or brake related? Any input would be appreciated, thanks in advance

I agree with nick, wheel vibration can also be attributed to an unbalanced tire as well.
