iphone navigation speaking through jeep laredo speakers

wondering why my iphone navigation  does not play through my car speakers.  
my music on the phone does but the navigation does not.  anyone know what I
need to look for to fix this?

if it is aftermarket... I had a similar problem in my 05. I swapped the stock for an aftermarket but the jeep had a factory amp. Because of this, only the "rear" outs coming from the stereo run to the amp, and then the amp splits the sound to the front and rear speakers. I had to wire my rear outs as if they were the fronts and then not worry about the fronts coming from the stereo in order to get handsfree audio working in mine. I know that isn't navigation but just a thought!
