DOOR AJAR for driver side won't go out, therefore , doors won't lock, and dome light stays on until speed reaches 10 MPH. Now the engine light is on. Is this all related to the same problem.......

As far as the door ajar light try spraying some WD40 into door latch.

Don't use WD-40 use MAF cleaner, or something that doesn't leave oil. Oil attracts dirt, and dirt is part of what causes the failure in the first place.

I tried brake cleaner first to remove any dirt and oil contaminates. sprayed both above and below the door latch. Waited 15 minutes then lightly sprayed with WD-40 then wiped any excess WD-40 and this resolved the door ajar problem. It has been two weeks now without reoccurrence of the problem so only time will tell but this has seemed to work for now.

Has it still worked or have you had further problems?

I have exactly the same what you have. First the driver door ajar, then the check engine light on. As "tennisshoes" said, these are two different issues. Regarding, the check door ajar, I tried WD40, for a couple of time, it worked for few days only. But I tried something similar called Q20. it's much than WD40, but still for a bit longer. I am looking for a permanent solution. But my main question is why "technical point of view" does the spraying by WD40 or Q20 "or any other brnad name" is solving the issue temorary"?

I am really thinking, "technically", if the temporary solution provided by the WD40 because of its protection against the weather, then next time I will try to put an olive oil instead of WD40. What do you think????

Has there been a fix for the "Driver door ajar" and Dome lights blinking issues?

I have a 2014 Ford edge and I have looked at all the fixes available on the web. The one that I used seems to work the best since it appears to be a sensor contamination problem. CRC electronic Cleaner. It cleans ALL the contaminates and oil residue from the area. I purchased a can that I cleaned ALL four doors just in case. I will monitor for the next fews weeks to see if it is in fact resolved the problem. I will repost any further issues.
