you also need spark , are the injectors firing ? Some vehicles need the proper amount of spark and fuel pressure , just having them won't do .

Another thought, sometimes when refueling, it stirrs up all the fumes in gas tank. if problem with evap system, the fumes may cause overly rich fuel, that's not good on a hot engine.

Probably needs a new vapor purge valve basic part number 9C915. Go see you Ford dealership's parts department.
