Car ticking but won't turn over

Asked by Knopelori Oct 29, 2017 at 10:39 AM about the 2005 Dodge Stratus SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005 dodge status that after it sits
for like 12 hours won't start it just goes tick
tuck tick. The radio and lights and fan come
on but it won't start. It didn't start doing this
until it got cold. The car does have an
ignition interlock in it which stays connected
24/7. It will start with a jump but dies
sometimes has to be jumped more than
once a day.

Take a good close look at the battery connections, they need to be clean, free of corrosion and tight. This includes the connection at the starter. Also have the battery tested as it may be time for a new one.
