Disclaimer: The following are only observations thus far after using your site It matters to me because I have the listing emailed by car gurus with a 16995 number. The dealer on his own website has only placed ads for this car for 18995. But it would be an easy way for dealers to hypothetically advertise, not be accountable, and get to complain about cargurus as a cover-up. Hypothetically speaking of course, because if this was proven this would fall under bait and switch. But some valid questions come to mind even if by your answer car gurus pulls from other ads but no other ads list this price how would this be possible? I tried to list this same car but this site would not let me because it said the vin had already been listed, so that would point towards someone having to setup an account to post the price, not pulling ads from other sources. So my question to you is again what is your process for dealers posting ads on your site? The price you posted was never on any website that could have been pulled, and when the dealer was contacted he says he doesn't advertise with you. So where did the price come from? YOUR direct statement only confuses this even more…. Tom answered 3 weeks ago Only based on listed price in the ad. You have to work with the seller directly to get your best deal. http://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t42393_ds558252 ***I looked up the profile on car gurus http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/relationship.asp?personId=468034 ***and the board affiliations for example http://www.bizjournals.com/boston/blog/mass-high-tech/2007/06/digitaladvisor-spins-out-of-parent.html?page=all ***One link being digitaladvisor who is linked to ceo and founder of cargurus... http://investing.businessweek.com/research/stocks/private/person.asp?personId=468041&privcapId=109408710&previousCapId=140233&previousTitle=TripAdvisor%20LLC **which is linked to http://www.zoominfo.com/business/products/sales One can draw their own conclusions…. But my questions is how un-bias can this site be?? Again would love to know your process for dealers.
