Check your dimmer switch. On some models if the dimmer switch is turned to its lowest setting the dome light will not come on. Some models have a dome light off button right beside the dimmer/lights switch.
Worst case, check your fuses to see if there is one blown.

The lift gate unlocks with the key only. Not a power lift gate. When you press the unlock on the key it makes a noise like it is unlocking. But the lift gate will not open.
