2012 Kia airbag light

Asked by GuruYTBX2 May 26, 2018 at 08:46 AM about the 2012 Kia Forte EX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2012 airbag light is on and will not pass inspection
Last year a Kia dealership fixed the problem for 27 dollars, but yesterday they
wanted to charge 104 just to look at the problem
Is there anyway to get the airbag light OFF to go get it inspected?

Not without repairing the fault. You don't need a dealer to diagnose it. Any shop that has a good OBD2 scanner can pull the codes. Most codes will point to the exact problem. You just need to find an honest reputable mechanic.
