Was an alignment done when the tires were replaced? I think the issue has to do with the tire job, but I am not able to see the car. Take it back to the tire shop and tell them what is happening. Also, the car is under factory warranty, you can check with the Kia dealer, but like I said, I feel that you should go to the tire place first.
I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this in their Forte. I have a 16 Forte LX and have always run snow tires, Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 specifically and switching to Blizzaks this winter. Whenever I drive and it's slippery out I have had situations where the car feels like it wants to 'swerve' or swing just enough to make it feel like it's going to go out of my lane. I've turned traction control off to see if that was causing the issue but no difference. I had an alignment done and it was only a little off but was corrected, no difference. I've also noticed this a few times when driving on grooved pavement but that could just be the grooves. This isn't happening going around curves or on bridges, I can be driving straight as an arrow and driver over a slick patch and the car wants to slightly change direction. Any ideas what would cause this? This is really the only complaint I have about the car. It should feel safe to drive in the winter with top notch winter tires but it's definitely disappointing and sometimes scary when driving on slippery roads.
