Question type: General

2004 Dodge Intrepid. Engine ran hot.
Burned all oil. Smoke coming from
under intake manifold. No leaks
anywhere. No oil mixing with coolant.
When engine cooled. Refilled with oil.
Engine ran normally until hot. Let sit
again. Engine ran normally. Could this
be a bad water pump problem? Or
thermostat? Or pcv valve? Or what???

You got more than one problem going on, the continually overheating and then the total loss of all oil. The only way all the oil can disappear is if it burned it up and sent it out the exhaust or it leaked out. To burn it would mean bad rings or bad valve seals. Leaks of course can be anywhere. You might even have a blown head gasket letting oil into the cooling system. You'll have to do a lot more troubleshooting on your end, there's just too many things going on to expect a definitive answer based on your question.

Thank u for your answer. Car is holding oil. Now the only problem i have is engine runs hot after about mins of driving. Temp needle fluctuates. No pressure in the upper or lower radiator hoses. Please hepl!!!!

Thank u for answering. I went out thus morning and pulled the intake manifold and wd 40 the gaskets in hopes that it was a simple solution. Then I filld the overflow tank and drove 3 miles. Returned home popped off the cap and the coolant is jet black. Tells me that it a blown head gasket or a cracked head. Or us there something um missing here?
