I have an 04 with the dreaded 2.7 engine. the engine light is on and giving a code for the crank sensor. it has been replaced...twice. the light is still on and they can't even reset it.

I've tried 3 times to erase the code. The light does not go off and I can't get an inspection.

There is still a hard code that exists. There may be more than one code causing the light to go on. It may not be the actual sensor that is bad, but it could be an open circuit in the wiring or harness.
