I got a P0340 on my '96 intrepid ES. Cam position sensor. I replaced it, but still no go. Put the diagnostic machine on, and still I get a P0340 code, even with the new sensor. What gives here?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am only getting one code reading on the OBD reader, and that is the p0340.
Not sure what the hell else is wrong, but i am not pushing any other codes.
If I blew my timing belt, i am certain I would have destroyed the car, as the car shut down at 65 mph,
when it died.
I would just have a heavy paperweight if the timing belt went at that speed.
Can anyone tell me what to do next?
