Blown head gasket?

Asked by Mike May 31, 2016 at 06:30 PM about the 2004 Dodge Neon SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a car that they said had a blown head
gasket it wouldn't stay running and smoked bad. I
guess it was throwing our security codes so I got a
new key made with a chip in it and something in
the ignition reset. Now it starts right up runs drives
no smoke. But the oils red.. I know it's coolant but I
thought that meant you had a intake leak?
Thoughts anyone?
