Actron and Memoscan scanners can't always read codes for certain diesels (mainly Mercedes and Chrysler) or vehicles with weights of 8500 lbs, as those vehicles are exempt from OBDII regulations. Those vehicles require a scan tool with enhanced capabilities. Actron used to have a note on their site about this. You'll have to check around if you have the right protocol, tool, or multiplex cable to communicate with your Sprinter van.
