My heating and air conditioning on my 2012 buick

you probably have a short somewhere behind the HVAC facing. Behind that swith is probably several circuits going different ways. Short somewhere. Real similar to looking at a 6 round to 4 flat piggy electrical adapter for towing. your 6 round has all those lines going into 4 flat for like a U Haul tow. Same thing with your HVAC most likely.. it's just old and needs attention / replace, etc.
