2003 Dodge Caravan; idles rough, dies when it is put in reverse and misses when put in drive. Need help!!

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan SE. It has 150,000 mls but we've never had any problems. Lately, it won't start, then after it has started, it idles really rough. After a few minutes, it lines out but as soon as I shift into reserve it dies. Immediately. If I shift it into Drive, it misses and the interior lights and all the dash lights dim. We've changed the fuel pump, the O2 censor, the cadyllic converter.........the mechanics are stumped. One shop told us not to bring it back. If you have a solution, please help. Thank you!
