i have a 1999 dodge caravan 3. 0L 6cyl and it wont stay running unless u put your foot on gas til its warm, then when u drive it stalls when u stop or turn a code came up for tp sensor and we replaced that, it still doing it we have put new fuel filter on, injuctor cleaner and heet in, it runs rough and the exhaust sounds terrible, we cant figure this out.

also i would check your idle sensor

doors mean nothing,next time confess the miles we all almost all drive high mile cars and rough cars ,or this site would be nonexistant .im with knowing what you and your hubby are experiencing the cars today and the last 15 years are a new breed, confusing between mechanical to a brain problem so to speak, and quite often both yours sounds like maby plugs would help at least the 3 in front to see if an improvement happens ,the white smoke should be dampness and quit after a warmup,or a cooling system problem may be, a blast of cleaner thru the intake does more than thrue the tank as it cleans the exaust better

theres about 170 k miles on the van and we changed all the spark plugs also the cat converter was cherry red and now its not but it still wont stay running, my neighbor suggested to take it off and see if thats the problem, where i live we dont have inspection so i can run without one i guess
