Major vibration

Asked by GuruX466W Sep 28, 2018 at 08:21 AM about the 2010 Nissan Pathfinder SE 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Vehicle starts to vibrate at 60kph and above, only under load. No vibration when coasting. Very low harmonic hum, hard on ears. Rad & transmission are clean, no x-contaminants. Shifts fine, no clunking reminiscent of u-joints, no CV joint noise when turning L/R. Tires balanced, drives straight, no pulling L/R

We have had a similar problem with our 2005 Nissan Murano, now pushing 296,000 miles. However, balancing and alignment didn't seem to help. The engine (?) begins vibrating at about 55MPH and then diminishes after about 70MPH. What else could it be?
