I bought my 2009 Avalanche LT-2 for ~$28k, last year. I was willing to go up to $32k for a used Avalanche or a new Ridgeline, but I couldn't go higher than $32k for my budget. There is a 2012 Avalanche LT for ~$29,750 in my area and a 2012 LTZ for ~$39,900. So, it looks like $30k for a 2012 Avalanche LT is reasonable.
